Originally the inscription was 35 ''metre'' long but only 10 metre of inscription survived.〔N. Shoshiashvili, Corpus of Georgian Inscriptions, I, Tbilisi, 1980, pp. 231–233〕〔K. Danelia, Z. Sarjveladze, Georgian Paleography, Tbilisi, 1997, p. 51〕 The inscription mentions Georgian ''eristavis'' Varaz-Bakur and Iovane and two Byzantine Emperors, Constantine V and Leo IV the Khazar.〔G. Kvachadze, Topoarchaelogical Dictionary of the Georgian royal annals, 2013, p. 445〕 ==Inscription== *Translation: "Jesus Christ, built by the mercy of Christ and love of mankind, for praying the Holy Theotokos, o Christ have mercy on the relatives of pitiaksh.
